There is one o more moments in the life of the software developer that must go ahead and learn new concepts.

I’ve just started my professional career, I have only two years in j2ee development but I think I have to learn new concepts and step up my knowledge acquired. I have readed the article in dzone that references to another called Top Five Java Technologies to Learn in 2008.

The article enumerates five technologies are growing nowadays. Among these technologies what I’d write on my ToDo is GWT because it’s the formal manner to work with Ajax. You know JavaScript is boring and confusing so, GWT is here to ease our lifes.

Google says:

GWT lets you avoid many of these headaches while offering your users the same dynamic, standards-compliant experience. You write your front end in the Java programming language, and the GWT compiler converts your Java classes to browser-compliant JavaScript and HTML.

I’m going to read more carefully the information about this framework and if I get time, I’ll work with it.

To be the first result in Google is relatively easy, and more if the domain, word or content is strange to found like Treponki.

The fastest way to be in the first results of google is make references in other pages to your page, and better if the referencial page have a lot of visits. So, Elvi’s Treponki has become the first result to the word Treponki in a few days because this blog and other sites has referenced to her Treponki.

This could be the first thing we could make to be in the first positionsin Google. And it seems is more effective than link from Twitter like other users, I don’t know it the GoogleBot visits Twitter but maybe is more important make references from a large number of sites than a lot of references from the same site.

For who don’t know what are the GoogleBot, it’s a bot that visits the webs and their links, if a web have a lot of references more possibility to be visit by the bot and more rating in the Google results.

Treponki is a contest by UCAM to positionate the word treponki in first result of google. I’m helping Elvi and María to get the first place! So… visit the links and they will be promoted.
